    Beamforming Technology

    The Brostrend AC1200 extender sometimes does not work properly due to its software being outdated. We recommend you update the extender software on time. To update the software follow the below steps:-

    Initially, take the cellphone or PC and connect it with the Brostrend AC1200 extender default network. After that, launch the web browser, and in the search engine type rebrostrend.com. Thereafter, fill in the username and password default credentials. Further, look or search for the network administration option and then hit on the software upgrade option. In the end, install the latest software file if anyone is there.

    Reboot Brostrend Extender

    By rebooting the Brostrend extender you can also fix an error. To restart the extender try below steps:-

    Initially, press the Brostrend AC1200 extender power button to turn it off. After that, from an electrical socket take out its power plug. Next, wait a minute and place the Brostrend AC1200 extender power plug back in an electrical socket. In the end, press the extender power button to power it on.

    Change Placement Of An Extender

    Due to placing the extender at an improper location, you can also face errors. To fix that consider bellow steps.

    First of all place the extender at the central location of your house and near to the existing router. After that, verify that near the extender and router, no metal or electronic type of appliances should be placed. Metal and electronic types of gadgets absorb all the WiFi signals that come from routers and extenders.

    Verify All Cable Connections

    Due to damaged hardware connections, you can also face errors in the extender. We recommend you check all the cables which are connected to an extender. If any cable or other part is damaged, replace it immediately with a new one. After replacing a damaged part with a new one your extender error is fixed.

    Do Hard Reset

    For this process, take a paper clip and look for the reset button on the Brostrend AC1200 extender device. After looking, insert the taken hairpin in the reset button for 5 to 10 seconds. By doing this, all the Brostrend AC1200 extender LEDs will turned off. All off LEDs indicate that your extender is completely reset now.

    Note:- After resetting the extender you will required to do the Brostrend AC1200 setup and login process again. If you don’t know how to do the login and setup process then don’t worry just study the below information.

    To access the extender web page after resetting the extender, consider the lower steps:-

    First, take the WiFi gadget in your hand such as a laptop or computer. After that, place the AC1200 Brostrend extender power plug in an electrical socket. Thereafter, press the extender power button and connect the computer or laptop with the AC1200 extender default network. Now, launch the browser and hit rebrostrend.com in the search bar. Further, fill in the password and username default information. At last, click on the login button to complete the Brostrend AC1200 extender login process.

    Configure AC1200 Brostrend Extender

    There are two methods to configure an extender.

    Method 1:- Setup By Pushing the Extender WPS button:-

    Note: For this WPS method process, make sure that your router must have the WPS button.

    WPS method is a very easy method to configure AC1200 Brostrend extender with router.

    Early, locate the extender power plug near the router. After that, look for WiFi protected setup button on both the router and extender units. After finding that button, click on the WPS button of both units. By doing this extender and router connect automatically wirelessly. Later, place the extender where you are facing slow speed of internet.

    Method 2:- Configure Extender Without Pressing WPS Button:-

    If you are unable to do the WPS method process due to any reason then try this method.

    First, take an ethernet cable. After that, connect one end of the ethernet cable to the router’s ethernet port. Next, attach the remaining end of an ethernet cable with an AC1200 Brostrend extender ethernet port. Now, take one more ethernet cable and connect the computer with an extender. Further, on the computer open Chrome and type rebrostrend.com in the search bar. Fill in the details and tap on the start setup button. Make a new SSID and password. In the end, save it. By doing this the Brostrend AC1200 setup is also done without pressing the WPS button.
